Purpose
To illustrate the crystallization of a supersaturated solution.

Materials

• Sodium acetate trihydrate, CH₃COON_a · 3H₂O
• Round bottom flask or Erlenmeyer flask with rubber stopper
• Hot plate or Bunsen burner
• Wash bottle
